Danhostel Aalborg Vandrerhjem is one of Denmark's newest hostels, built in 1986 and extended with cabins in 1988. In 1992, we completed our facilities with a camping ground.
The hostel has 35 rooms with 4 beds in each. 23 rooms come with their own toilet and bath and the rest have bathrooms en suite. The hostel has a nice lounge and TV room, and the perfect facilities for courses, meetings, etc. for one or more days.
We also have a nice cafeteria, kiosk, activity room and laundromat.
The hostel is built with a separate entrance for all the rooms. 12 of the 35 rooms have extra large entrance doors, and toilet and bathrooms large enough to fit a wheel chair. Wheel chair users also have easy access to lounge and cafeteria, and outside there are ramps for hard to access areas.
Located in the centre of Northern Jutland, Aalborg is hard to avoid. And good for you! You will miss a heap of good things to see and do if you don't check out this charming green city at the beautiful Limfjord, which is so full of life. The city offers a wide range of tourist attractions and sights and there is room enough for everybody, both the inhabitants as well as the many tourists.
The Vikings founded the city some 1000 years ago, and ever since it has not stopped growing. In the Middle Ages it was an important commercial town, and today it has gained status as the "capital of Northern Jutland".
Danhostel Aalborg Vandrerhjem is located only 3 km from the city centre and is a perfect starting point for a stay in Aalborg. Danhostel Aalborg Vandrerhjem offers good facilities for everybody who prefer to spend their holiday in a relaxed atmosphere close to marina, camping grounds, and cabins. We welcome school camps, sports groups, families and single persons, on holiday or just passing by.
We are looking forward to see you.
